A New Addition to the Family!
Isn't she beautiful?
Aren’t you glad when some things come to an end . . . and then there’s a new beginning?
For instance, winter is beautiful–at least where I live it is. Snow covered hills and trees, sometimes accompanied by bright sunshine is wonderful to behold.
Until it isn’t.
And then the first green shoots rise up in the garden, buds appear on the trees, and the chirping of the birds herald the coming of that new beginning.
Another example is, of course, housing a little one inside you for nine or so months, then getting your first glimpse of that beautiful face and tiny toes, inspecting every inch of exquisiteness.
Authors experience a different kind of birth. Each book that’s written is nurtured like that tiny life-form, sometimes for months and years before it is presented to the world.

I birthed a new one about two weeks ago–entitled The Fig Leaf Chronicles-Hiding From God in the Modern World. It’s a thirty-day devotional, short chapters, exploring the fig leaves we hang in our closets. Why do we do that? For the same reason Adam and Eve did. To hide from God and each other.
If you’re looking for a light-hearted, sometimes fun but sometimes piercing treatment of unmasking ourselves before God and each other, this is for you.
Why don’t you come along with me and discover what’s in your closet?
(By the way, I’ll be taking December off, so the next you’ll hear from me will be January 2025 . . . another new beginning!)
Hope you and yours have a blessed holiday season.
